At our International School of Granada, we celebrate Peace Day as an opportunity to reinforce essential values that are part of our educational project. From 1st Grade to 2nd Year of ESO, all students joined in a day dedicated to reflecting on the importance of respect, unity, and mutual care within the educational community.
The participation of all educational stages
One of the most significant aspects of this celebration was the joint involvement of students of different ages. Sharing a common activity allowed for the reinforcement of a sense of belonging and conveyed that peace is built when everyone feels part of the same group—something we take special care of at our school in Granada.
Music as a tool to transmit values
During the day, the students sang the song “One Love” together, creating a moment full of emotion and meaning. Music became a common language to express messages of unity, solidarity, and empathy, reminding us that there are simple ways to convey deep values.
Recognizing attitudes that foster coexistence
In addition to the musical activity, each class presented its Peace Nobel Prizes, chosen through voting by the students themselves. This gesture allowed for the recognition of behaviors based on respect, camaraderie, and good coexistence, highlighting the small actions that build a positive climate every day.
Learning that peace is built through daily actions
Through this activity, students reflected on the real meaning of peace and understood that it is not just an abstract idea. Listening, helping, and respecting others are simple gestures that have a direct impact on coexistence within our institute in Granada.
Educating in participation and shared responsibility
The voting process for the awards allowed students to get actively involved, fostering collective responsibility and democratic participation. At our bilingual school in Granada, we are committed to an education where students learn to value positive attitudes and recognize them in their peers.
A celebration aligned with our educational project
As a bilingual institute in Granada, we understand education as an integral process that goes beyond academic content. Activities like Peace Day reinforce values-based training and help build a more conscious and committed educational community.
Coexistence as the foundation of learning
A climate of respect and trust is essential for meaningful learning. At our school, we work constantly to ensure that positive coexistence is present in daily life, creating a safe environment where every student feels valued.
A message that lasts beyond a single day
Peace Day is not just a one-off celebration, but an opportunity to remember that peace is built every day through small actions. At the International School of Granada, we continue to educate by example, convinced that forming good people is just as important as forming good students.
