An educational experience outside the usual environment
At the Colegio Internacional de Granada, we understand that learning is not limited to the classroom; it must be expanded through real-world experiences that connect students with the academic and professional spheres. For this reason, this past Tuesday, our 2nd-year Bachillerato students visited the Escuela Internacional de Gerencia (International School of Management), an activity designed to broaden their perspective on the various educational alternatives available to them after graduation.
Discovering New Options for the Future
During the visit, students attended an informative talk where they learned firsthand about the different training programs offered by this institution. These types of encounters are especially valuable at a stage when students must make important decisions about their future, as it allows them to explore potential paths and reflect with better judgment on their personal and academic interests. At our school in Granada, we place great importance on this academic orientation process.
Learning Through Practice
In addition to the informative session, students participated in workshops related to marketing and market competition. These activities allowed them to experience concepts that are typically studied from a theoretical perspective, encouraging more active, participatory, and meaningful learning. Experiencing these subjects through practice helps consolidate knowledge and sparks interest in areas linked to the business world.
Developing Skills for Academic and Professional Life
Beyond the specific subject matter, the day contributed to the development of key competencies such as communication, decision-making, teamwork, and strategic thinking. At our school in Granada, we aim for our students to acquire the tools necessary to confidently face future challenges—both in university and in their professional careers—while fostering personal autonomy and adaptability.
Vocational Guidance Through Experience
These types of visits reinforce the continuous guidance we provide at our center. Getting to know different educational environments, interacting with professionals, and participating in practical activities helps students build a more realistic vision of their possibilities. At our bilingual school in Granada, we consider it essential to accompany our students through this process of personal reflection.
Connecting Learning with the Real World
Stepping out of the classroom allows students to better understand the utility of what they are learning and its application in real-world contexts. The experience at the International School of Management serves as an example of how learning gains deeper meaning when linked to authentic situations and the professional environment, reinforcing the students’ motivation to learn.
A Day of Inspiration for the Future
For many students, this visit has provided a boost of confidence, allowing them to visualize new goals and reinforcing their interest in continuing their education. At our bilingual school in Granada, we highly value these activities, as they encourage conscious decision-making and personal projection.
Learning Beyond Books
At the Colegio Internacional de Granada, we will continue to support educational initiatives that take students out of their comfort zones and bring them closer to real-life experiences. We firmly believe that learning beyond the classroom enriches one’s education and better prepares our students to face their future with security, discernment, and responsibility.
